Tastes to ‘Thai’ For

Establishing itself as one of Phuket’s most desirable dining destinations, The Nai Harn is home to one of Phuket’s most enticing breakfast spreads, a sea view all-day dining restaurant serving everything from classic Mediterranean dishes to authentic Thai cuisine, the island’s first rooftop sea view Sushi & Sashimi Bar, and the stylish oceanside Rock Salt restaurant capitalising on the stunning views over what has been voted as Thailand’s best beach.

Spectacularly presenting a lavish selection of fresh, flavoursome and seasonable Thai and international dishes as well as a philosophy to buy little and often, The Nai Harn looks to source the best local and sustainable ingredients. Seafood is delivered daily from the local Rawai gypsy fishing village with catch of the day specials including White Snapper Ceviche or a fresh Andaman Seafood Platter. Fruit and vegetables are selected from local farmers whilst organic and free-range produce are sourced from the Royal Project in Chiang Mai.

Complementing the fine flavours of the sea and ensuring only the very best beef is served, ocean front restaurant Rock Salt offers a rare selection of exquisite cuts, including Angus beef sourced from Argentina and Australia, dry aged for 30 – 35 days before being prepared by the master butchery team to enhance firmness and flavour. The resort’s in-house Charcuterie is the only one of its kind in Phuket, with house-cured meats showcased alongside succulent imported steaks such as rib eye and a melt—in-the-mouth steak tartare.

The island’s first rooftop sea view Sushi & Sashimi Bar, Han-Sha, has been integrated into the hotel’s Reflections rooftop lounge for an evening of Japanese favourites. Sourcing the finest Japanese seafood and ingredients is sushi specialist Chef Arnu showcasing his culinary skills with live sushi preparations of dishes including kabayki, avocado, Japanese cucumber, asparagus and ebiko roe.

Ensuring diners start their day right, Cosmo Restaurant takes guests on a refined culinary journey with underlying flavours influenced by British Executive Chef, Mark Jones. Daily breakfast buffets include home-made cheeses, yogurts and jams to accompany warm fresh pastries and tropical fruits. For an extra morning boost, the newly introduced artisan cold-brewed coffee offers a refreshing start to the day.

An ongoing commitment to offer diners the best in culinary creativity with an uncompromising approach to farm to fork dishes extends to beachside Rock Salt, led by Chef de Cuisine, David Attwater, also form the UK. Guests can enjoy signature dishes such as Australian mussels or Fine de Claire oysters enjoyed with a glass of chilled rosé wine chosen from a list of the world’s best pinks specially selected by global wine critic James Suckling.

And for those that prefer to dine privately, a BBQ Butler can be arranged to prepare an exclusive feast, whether it be delicately marinated meats, perfectly grilled vegetables or fresh seafood all enjoyed with uninterrupted views over the Andaman. Within the suites guests will find a ‘press for champagne’ button should they require a top up from the resort’s collection of fine wines and champagnes.

NOTES TO EDITORS

The Nai Harn offers the perfect blend of romance, adventure, indulgence and a genuine sense of heritage, perched above Thailand’s best beach*, ranged along a lush hillside at the southern tip of Phuket. The hotel offers dress circle seats to the greatest show on earth – the spectacle of an Andaman sunset set against the dramatic promontory of Cape Promthep, best viewed from the four-poster day bed on your private 40sq m terrace, or from the re-born Rooftop Deck at our bucket list-worthy daily Magic Hour and Sunset Salutation Ritual. Phuket’s only hotel with a real sense of history has hosted luminaries from royals to heads of state to stars of stage and screen – where else but at THE NAI HARN can you take a luxury speedboat island hopping to James Bond Island … while staying in the suite occupied by Roger Moore or Christopher Lee during filming of The Man with the Golden Gun? Offering guest rooms at least as capacious as the generous terraces and suites best described as sublime, THE NAI HARN has been completely redesigned to maximize its exceptional vistas. Minimally elegant with lavish touches and ‘ah’ moments, this comprehensive reimagining of Phuket’s first luxury resort infuses contemporary style with a Southern Thai aesthetic, setting the scene for destination experiences informed by authenticity and local knowledge, new adventures on roads less travelled, and culinary experiences that define excellence. www.thenaiharn.com *tripadvisor® Travelers’ choice awards 2017
