Seaside Yoga: Bringing Serenity to the White Isle

Perfectly positioned on Ibiza’s picturesque northern coast, overlooking the serene waters of the Mediterranean this summer, sister restaurants Amante and Aiyanna will broaden their horizons with a revitalising schedule of soul soothing morning yoga classes; another addition to the beach restaurant’s desirable diary of moonlight cinemas, food truck festivals and unmissable artistry performances.

A natural ambience of relaxation mingled with Ibizan culture, Aiyanna and Amante offer the perfect backdrop to connect with nature and unwind through morning meditation and Pilates classes. Led by yoga gurus Florenica Cassullo, Satya Morillus and Diana Naya who offer more than forty years combined experience that encompasses a diverse mix of yoga and meditation styles including Hatha, Bikram, AntiGravity and mindfulness meditation.

Introduced to yoga over eighteen years ago whilst trying to heal her own back pain, Florencia took up Hatha Yoga and quickly noted the benefits to both body and spirit; this was the beginning of her lifetime pursuit of a deeper understanding of various forms of practice.  In addition to yoga, Florenica has fallen in love with the natural, tranquil beauty Ibiza offers and now teaches locals and visitors alike on the island.

For Satya, yoga has always been a natural remedy and she also is passionate about touching the lives of those she meets on a deep and meaningful level. Using yoga and meditation as tools for observation and as a way of learning about one’s self, Satya has learnt how to awaken the senses to truly appreciate the positive impact yoga achieves.

Trained in both classical and contemporary yoga, Diana passionately believes that yoga is meant to offer a meaningful experience to both beginners and experienced students and therefore proudly provides accessible and enjoyable classes that all walks of life can embrace.

After a yoga class like no other, yoga-enthusiasts will be welcomed to an extensive selection of invigorating and wholesome breakfast treats. With an incredible selection of detox drinks, freshly squeezed juices, ripe fruit, natural yogurt and freshly baked wholegrain patisseries, guests can finish their experience feeling relaxed and ready to conquer all that Ibiza has to offer.

And beyond the yoga classes, guests can expect exciting artistry performances, unmissable outdoor cinema nights, artisan food trucks and organic, home grown dishes – from an incredible new evening menu for lazy long lunches and chilled-out parties with family and friends.

Amante’s yoga classes run from Monday to Friday, with Aiyanna’s running on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday both starting at 9:00am. Yoga and breakfast costs €30 and pre-booking is essential.

Opening back in 2009 by David Piccioni, former international DJ and founder of the world renowned Azuli record label, Amante is a wellness orientated and all-encompassing venue that highlights the wellbeing and laid back side to Ibiza. The rustic, all day dining venue takes exclusive advantage of the bay’s exceptional views, whilst chilled out Balearic beats instil a feeling of peace and harmony. This year, the restaurant will extend its undeniably cool, as well as relaxed and tranquil ambience to the evenings for the very first time on 15th June.
