Digitally Detox Teens This Winter

Designed to get teens away from their smartphones this winter, Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort has launched a new selection of experiences for the hard to place 10-16 year old where kids clubs are no longer of interest, and phones often prove more alluring than the resort’s stunning surroundings.

Recognising that families come in all ages, the line-up of activities to get teens away from their over familiar digital screens include kayaking adventures, a Young Survivor course, Beach Boot Camp, Thai cooking classes, a Phi Phi Island Village mini triathlon, Muay Thai boxing, long tail boat trips, team diving, beach volleyball battles, Mini-Petanque tournaments and barefoot football in the sand, all designed to entertain young adults. Yoga and seaside aerobics for teens is also on offer – and the resort’s utterly tranquil atmosphere will encourage guests of all ages to slow down, take in the stunning surroundings and switch off.

Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort’s idyllic island feels like a truly undiscovered paradise, nestled amongst 70 tranquil acres of coconut palms with an unspoiled 800 metres of white sandy beach. In addition to activity loving teens, it is the perfect place for young aspiring writers and keen readers to journal; catch up on a new YA novel and even practice a bit of mini-mindfulness.

Eco-curious teens can help preserve the resort’s coral reef at the monthly Coral Reef Nursery with a diving or snorkelling trip to discover the vast array of life under the ocean, or unleash their inner explorer with a kayaking adventure through the indigenous mangroves whilst they learn about the enchanting coastal ecosystem.

Designed to teach teens how to cook simple but delicious Thai dishes, the resort’s daily Young Chef Course aims to ignite culinary potential. Led by one of the island’s professional chefs this culinary masterclass allows children to get creative in the kitchen preparing delicious nutritious treats and tasty Thai favourites.

Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort enjoys a secluded, pristine tropical island location overlooking Loh Ba Gao Bay on Koh Phi Don. Created as a place to bring people together, it is a destination where everyone deserves to feel that they’ve been somewhere special – and create long-lasting memories of family togetherness that are far more powerful than anything found on Facebook.

The resort offers guests a supremely comfortable back-to-nature experience with 201 rooms comprising 189 contemporary Thai style bungalows and 12 private Hillside Pool Villas spread across 70 acres of lush tropical gardens surrounding a custom-design lagoon-shaped pool and a long and elegant beachfront infinity pool.
