Capella Bangkok 2019’s Most Anticipated Opening In Thailand

This summer, Capella Bangkok will be Thailand’s most exciting new luxury five-star resort. The first hotel in the last two decades to open along the legendary banks of the River of Kings (Chao Phraya River), this highly anticipated launch will showcase a collection of the city’s first opulent riverfront villas, spearheading the revival of Bangkok’s riverside renaissance.

Capella Hotels are built upon the legacy of crafted luxury design combined with the highest level of personalised service that is both unique and memorable. The ultimate in aspirational luxury lifestyle in the heart of the blossoming creative neighbourhoods of Chao Phraya and Charoenkrung, with 101 villas and suites – Capella Bangkok will be the first urban Thai property from the visionary global hospitality brand, Capella Hotel Group.

Positioned within the highly-anticipated 14-acre Chao Phraya Estate development, Capella Bangkok’s unprecedented 350 metre riverside setting means each villa and suite will enjoy unobstructed views of the river. Woven among a contemporary playground in harmony with its intricate heritage as one of Bangkok’s oldest neighbourhoods, here a riverfront community lifestyle takes centre stage and revels in the rise of its local art and fragrant culinary scene.

Raising the bar for world-class dining and wellbeing experiences in Bangkok, Capella Bangkok’s signature restaurant will be curated by celebrated Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco whilst in the spa, Auriga Wellness will offer an impressive list of carefully curated Asian therapies that will combine traditional techniques with contemporary solutions.

A lifestyle hub in the heart of the hotel will be The Capella Living Room. A river-facing lounge filled with natural light, The Capella Living Room will be a cultural magnet hosting a carousel of local artisans, musicians and chefs and will reflect the neighbourhood’s passion for food, wellness and culture. Whilst inspiring those to discover the Bangkok’s most intriguing enclave, Capella Bangkok’s ‘Capella Personal Assistant’ will curate crafted guest experiences that engage with the its rich locality.

ohn Blanco, General Manager of Capella Bangkok comments: “The revival of the riverside has been happening organically for some years now and it’s incredible to experience the enthusiasm everybody has for a return to the city’s original roots. It’s reminiscent of the redevelopment of historic – and often artistic – waterfront locales in other major metropolises such as the Meatpacking District in Manhattan and Belém in Lisbon, and I have every confidence that it will have the same uplifting effect on the city as a whole.”

John Blanco adds: “I am sure our guests will enjoy exploring the locale and discovering the diverse street food stalls, riverfront seafood markets and decades-old shophouse restaurants including the legendary Thip Volcanic Fried Mussel & Oyster, in addition to the fashionable new eateries celebrating Bangkok’s bygone culinary roots. Guests are also sure to be enamoured by groups of all ages performing tai chi and yoga along the river and games from badminton to native takraw.”
