A Tropical Island Family Playground
Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort has introduced a collection of exhilarating new expeditions and group activities for the whole family. The tropical island playground is designed for guests of all ages to learn new skills and the importance of eco-sustainability whilst kayaking the indigenous mangroves, getting competitive on a private beach boot camp, or being taught valuable survival skills.
Living as a true islander, the Young Survivor course consists of an itinerary packed with ingenious tactics such as water collection techniques, fishing tips and shelter building, as well as mastering the enigmatic survival campfire. Meanwhile, jumping into a kayak, families can explore the Mangroves and the life they support on the island while enjoying a guided adventure.
Inspiring memories that will last a lifetime, the Phi Phi Island craft workshop sparks and engages young minds whilst sustaining the island’s precious coral reefs, as young explorers can play their part tending to the resort’s Coral Reef Nursery. For budding chefs, the junior cooking classes are led by one of the island’s professional chefs and allow families to get creative in the kitchen preparing delicious nutritious treats and tasty Thai favourites.
For a group adrenaline rush, everyone is invited to compete and claim gold at the Phi Phi Island Village mini triathlon and seaside boot camp. Set on the resort’s desirable 800-metre beachfront strip, each contest features an energising variety of activities such as swimming and running, aerobics and Muay Thai boxing.
To sooth their tired bodies and find positive mindfulness and overall balance, families can find their Zen with beach yoga sessions or book themselves into the resort’s Wana Spa, where treatments send guests into a deep state of blissful relaxation using traditional Thai techniques and multi-sensory indulgences.
Designed with families in mind, the resort’s two-bedroom Thai-style family bungalows offer spacious accommodation and consist of one king and one twin bedroom. For smaller family groups, the Hillside Pool Villas are private and secluded on the gentle slopes of the tropical rainforest; each with a private pool that offers the amazing views over Loh Ba Gao Bay. The luxurious Junior Suites are located by the resort’s 800-metre private beach, each with an indoor whirlpool bath and views looking out over the bay.
